WebProGuide Privacy Statement

1. Privacy Policy Overview. This Privacy Statement regulates the treatment of personal, contact and other information collected by WebProGuide when you submit content or notify the WebProGuide staff of your intention to re-publish content. Our privacy policy does not apply to the rules and behavior of other companies advertised, or otherwise listed, on the WebProGuide web site, nor does it extend to people that WebProGuide does not employ or manage.

2. Information Collection and Use.Currently, WebProGuide forces you to provide the following personal information when you submit an article: 1) full name and 2) e-mail address. Also, you are encouraged to provide your employment details, but this is not mandatory. WebProGuide reserves the right to deliver notices to authors and publishers regarding changes or updates to the WebProGuide site and service.

When you contact WebProGuide Staff via the online contact form, we collect the same personal / contact details as when you submit an article. We need to have this information to properly and timely process your request and respond to your needs. We do not use this information to send you regular or one-time non-personalized messages (incl. advertizing) you did not request.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure. Your contact informaiton (e-mail address), if stored in the WebProGuide database, is never released or sold to any vendor, partner or outside agency. Any email notices or update announcements from WebProGuide will include detailed unsubscribe information, giving you the option to remove yourself from future WebProGuide mailings at any time.

4. Cookies. At this time, the content management system that powers WebProGuide uses cookies to collect visit and session statistics. The information stored in cookies is non-personalized and does in any way identify you to WebProGuide or anyone else who has or could have access to the stats collected with the help of cookies.

5. Security. Your email address information is stored in a secure database. Access is restricted to WebProGuide staff.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy. WebProGuide may make major or minor corrections to this policy from time to time. If significant changes are made in the way your personal information is used, we will post a prominent announcement on our site notifying you of the change.
